I have been designing, building or maintaining websites for more than 8 years. My ongoing aim is to create websites that communicate clearly and effectively based on the needs of my clients and their customers, regardless of industry.

In addition to websites I have produced many newsletters, adbanners, ecards and other online assets. I am experienced in managing content, copywriting, creating and maintaining brand identities, flash animation, multimedia editing and encoding for the web. I also have a solid understanding of search engine optimisation and web analytics. I am constantly learning and adapting new techniques in all areas of my work.

Most recently I have been working in the music

industry creating, maintaining and improving websites and other online assets for classical record labels, venues, orchestras and artists. I am part of a small new media team often managing my own projects – taking and writing briefs, liasing with clients and managing their expectations. We all participate in testing the websites extensively for quality assurance and overall accessibility.

My primary focus is on user-friendly web design: good typography, solid and extensible site structure, consistent design sensibility and judicious application of valid, accessible code standards. My highest priority is understaning the end user – considering who is likely to come to the site and what they will be looking for in order to create an intuitive user interface.
